    I was blown away with Mac last year when he came in to replace Tua in the MSU game. This kid isnt afraid to throw into coverage and can fire the ball and is ACCURATE!! I was like "OMG"! Mac Jones is going to be the QB that whoever drafts him the NFL draft is going to be a team leader.

    BYU student here.... After dealing with a lot of injuries in 2019 season... Zach had to win the QB competition during the summer before 2020 season when the captains were determined.. Once Zach won the starting job, he was named captain for remainder of 2020 season after a couple games in....

    The reason that the power 5 schools are better than the group of 5 schools is simply because before social media became a thing those were the teams that got the most television exposure which eventually led to kids who wanted to play in the NFL going to these schools because of the television exposure that they received. Sometimes a lot of those G5 teams are very good. Good enough to beat a team like Alabama? Idk maybe, maybe not 🤷🏿‍♂️ but you can’t deny that In 2020 the sun belt conference was playing some good football. U have the American conference that honestly is starting to become like a 6th power 5 conference. I would have at least liked to see a teams like Cincinnati, Louisiana, coastal Carolina, BYU, or Liberty at least get a chance because of how hard they worked to get the records that they got. The current format that they have basically tells ppl that hard work doesn’t pay off. I know some of u may say well they could get into a NY6 but none of those kids want to play in those games I promise u if u go to any of these other schools and ask them if they would want to either play in a NY6 game or an 16 team playoff format they would all take the playoff. These kids are competitors. We may look at them and say they have no chance but a true competitor always believes that if they put in the effort they can win. Honestly the ppl in charge need to come to the realization that 1. We live in a point in time now to where if u wanted to you could literally watch any game that you want even for the group of 5 teams. 2. People would much rather watch a playoff game between teams that played their way in by either Winning their conference or playing a very tough schedule or both than watch a 6-6 western Michigan play a 5-7 western Kentucky in the hot Cheetos bowl. I don’t understand why they’re so reluctant to change with the times. Things are changing and they needed to change if they want more ppl to watch College football. They don’t want to give the group of 5 teams a chance to win a national championship. Think about it...the ppl in charge didn’t start seriously thinking about a playoff format until teams like Boise St started to become really close to making it in the BCS national championship. People would be more willing to pay more for a playoff game than a bowl game. If they expanded to 16 teams yes there would still be those teams while are just good and always manage to make it in but I promise you it won’t be the same 16 teams every year. Expanding would also give television exposure to smaller schools. Kids would eventually start saying I don’t have to move from north Cali to Tuscaloosa to have a shot to win a natty and receive television exposure like players such as Najee Harris did or Any of most of the 5⭐️ or 4⭐️ recruits did since the playoff began. Expanding could lead to a more balanced recruitment process for everyone. It would eventually become more competitive. Which is better for everyone.

    Kellen mond and Davis mills are going to be the sleeper QB's in this draft according to me. No one is talking about them openly so don't be surprised if they go late 1st round or early 2nd round.

      @zen I will leave the second one for last, and combine first and third. First, I know Kyle offense is ran differently, but someone like him is looking to not stick to one thing or another. Nor would you run that formation all the time. If Emanuel Sanders can be turned into a decent blocker, I think Pitts can too. Especially with Kittle to help show him how. Nor does Juszczyk have to go anywhere. He helps out in the scheme of things too since he's awesome at receiving also. Have just Deebo as the Wide Out, the receiver that is threat on reverses. Finally, on the second point, this is high risk. To me they already went all in anyways. To a previous post you put, this already looks bad if gave all that up for a Fields, Jones, or Lance. Besides I know this won't happen, but always fun to dream. After the draft will go back to reality. On a side note, the number 84 did get freed up. Providence perhaps :)

      @Lost Desert Rat I agree with what you say, those were some great offenses. And the thought of playing kyle pitts and kittle together makes me laugh like a kid who found cheat codes to his favourite game. but, there are 3 problems 1. We don't run that offense. 2. Even if we do take kyle pitts with #3 there is no guarantee kellen mond will be available at the #43 overall. We have come to the top 3 to avoid that kind of an uncertainty. 3. Pitts is not a great blocker and we just signed juszczyk to a 5-6 year contract.

      @zen Only if you look at it as giving up everything for that one pick, and not an overall strategy. Pitts will be the best prospect at 3 ( the one most likely to be All-Pro). I know everyone differs with opinions, but to me Mond is on par with the other QBs. Each have flaws that need work. Also it's about not knowing if the play is run or pass. They can't know if you have two hybrid TE. Think Harbaugh years with Davis and Walker or Brady with Gronk and Hernadez.

      @Lost Desert Rat Bro i am a 49er fan. Our run game is potent enough that many teams around the league can't get a read of us. So taking kyle pitts after giving up that much draft capital is not a great look. Scheme wise if i have to take a TE, I will take Tony tremble from notre dame or Brevin jordan from Miami.

      As a niner fan, I actually would like John and Kyle to suprise everyone and draft Pitts at 3, then get Mond in second. Then can have the player that makes that offense almost indefensible, along with the future qb. Have 2 TE set with Pitts and Kittle. What formation do you run against that.

    I understand wanting players to compete, battle it out, show toughness etc but at the end of the day these players only have a limited amount of time to showcase what they can do on the field in order to elevate their draft stock. They have to be able put film out there in order to set themselves and their family up for the future because sports doesn’t last forever. Some cases I can understand that a player should stay for whatever that particular reason might be but these players have to look out for themselves at the end of the day. Just my opinion

      I believe he's something of a 5th rounder, future backup at most. I don't believe his abilities can translate well enough to NFL. As someone explained better than what I could ever: "...With below-average arm strength and hit-or-miss accuracy, he will have to be surrounded by targets who have a wide catch radius, just as he was at Texas....,...There are lots of passing concepts that lack timing because of him hitching up in the pocket multiple steps prior to throwing..." --- Maybe he can develop, maybe he can switch to something else on field, but is a late rounder for me.

He played 6 games against 6 measly lower end big ten teams to get into the playoffs while everyone else played a full schedule.... then he got torched by Alabama in the national championship. Ole miss and Florida had closer games against Alabama while fields had all the talent and got killed. I don’t think he’s a next level QB.
